Tip 4 of 6: Find out how you can leap straight into the games you buy from PlayStation Store before they've even finished downloading.
There's nothing like diving straight into the action of a brand new game, so we've introduced Play As You Download. The concept is simple. With Play As You Download supported titles, you buy the game from PlayStation Store, and your PS4 system downloads a portion of the game so you can get started while the rest of the title is downloaded in the background.
Keep an eye on the progress meter
As soon as you start downloading your chosen game, don't leave your PS4 alone just yet. A progress meter will appear on the screen to let you know how long the full game will take to download - as well as when you're able to start playing the game. Certain titles, such as KILLZONE SHADOW FALL, let you pick which mode to start downloading first, so you can get started on whatever you're looking forward to most.
Wake up - it's time to get downloading
You don't need to wait for new content to download for your games either. Put your PS4 into standby mode while it's connected to the Internet and the system will either automatically wake up to download the latest game upgrades once they're available on PlayStation Store, or download them in the background next time you switch your PS4 on. So whether you're sleeping or just at work, your PS4 should be ready to roll when you are.
Download wherever you are
You can remotely enable your PS4 to download content from PlayStation Store even when you're not around. All you need to do is buy something from PlayStation Store using your PC or mobile device and your PS4 will wake up automatically from its standby mode and download your content.
