The pellet-popping powerhouse is back, again! Only this time he means business. As cute and colourful as ever, Pac-Man had his first foray into the world of 3D gaming back in 1999 to celebrate his 20th anniversary, in the original Pac-Man World on the PS one.
Now the power-up hungry pizza boy is back for another adventure, and is pitted against his eternal, ethereal foes, Inky, Pinky, Blinky and Clyde.
When the good-for-nothing ghosts sneak into the secret village of the Pac-people late at night intent on causing mischief, they unwittingly unleash a new, more deadly enemy - Spooky! Stealing the village's five sacred Golden Fruit, Spooky instructs the sheet-wearing spectres to take the goodies and hide them throughout the land. Playing as Pac-Man, it's up to you to scour the lands, bump off the baddies, and recover the town's precious possessions.
Retaining the spirit and simplicity of the arcade original, Pac-Man World 2 moves the action to a 3D-platform adventure, merging the game's classic elements with modern gameplay. Roaming the countryside gobbling dots, power-pellets and other assorted Pac-paraphernalia, you'll encounter characters that seem strangely familiar, and a few new faces too!
The environments are bright and bold, and you'll journey through luscious landscapes and watery worlds in a quest to find the fruit. Along the way, there are also tokens littered about the place that unlock original arcade versions, including Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man and Pac-Attack.
It's a welcome update to the Pac-franchise, that will have older gamers feeling nostalgic, and younger players hooked!
