Whether you're a fan of the hit TV series or not, you can't help but be aware of Sunnydale's most famous resident. The blonde, ex-cheerleader who also happens to be the latest in a long line of vampire-slayers finds herself facing her toughest challenge yet, as old foe Ethan Rayne becomes embroiled with the ultimate evil of The First.
Buffy and the rest of the scooby gang must face hordes of vampires, zombies and other deadly creatures if they hope to stop the world being plunged into permanent darkness.
Touted as the 'lost episode' of season five, Chaos Bleeds puts you in the thick of the action in this high-kicking, high-stakes third-person action-adventure. Employing a dazzling array of punches, kicks and throws, you battle the various denizens of darkness, who give as good as they get. Luckily, you can also employ a vast array of improvised and hi-tech evil-eradicating weaponry, including pool cues, crossbows, shovels, holy water pistols and of course the indispensable wooden stake.
The good news for Buffy fans is that you're not just limited to playing as the inimitable Ms. Summers; five other characters are ready to take on the fight against evil. Spike, Willow, Xander, Faith and even Sid the Dummy are all on hand to battle the darkness, and each has their own particular and peculiar abilities (such as Spike's strength and Willow's spellcasting). You'll need all the help you can get if you are to beat The First and save the world.
For sociable Slayers there's an added bonus in the form of six multiplayer modes for up to four players. Domination, Versus, Last Man Standing and Bunny Catcher all take the ever-popular vampire-vanquishing pastime and give it a unique twist, such as having to fight off your friends as well. Unlock and play as your favourite Buffy characters, including some unexpected additions. Grrr. Arrgh!
