Monster Hunter

Release date: 27 May 2005
Developer: Capcom
Publisher: Capcom

Capcom's latest title has a distinctly Jurassic feel as players test their wits against a host of deadly giant beasts.

Monster Hunter catapults the unwary into a dangerous world where fantastic beasts vie for dominance and the only rule is 'hunt or be hunted'. Players can embark on solo missions or take up weapons with three other giant killers via network play in this visually exotic action RPG. Assigned expeditions, ranging from defeating specific monsters, protecting a village, or acquiring precious items, guide your characters hand as you plan their future development.

In a world populated with savage monsters the greatest heroes are those brave enough to defend their people. Monster Hunters can claim great rewards and kudos for their sacrifice - for as long as they live, of course!

Capcom's gritty game enables players to design their own hero to take up the mantle of Monster Hunter. The range of character options, when combined with the choice of weapons and armour employed, makes for an almost limitless variety of ways to progress. Even greater scope is offered thanks to the option to fashion your own equipment from the materials you collect.

The online multiplayer game opens up unique quests and enemies that will prove a challenge for the most drilled Monster Hunter team. Work together to set lethal traps for the most dangerous monsters or distract a titanic beast as a team-mate steals one of its precious eggs.
