The official Component AV Cable provides audio and video connection between your PlayStation 2 or PlayStation 3 and your TV set. It supports Standard Definition (SD) playback (576p) for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3, and High Definition (HD) playback (up to 1080p) for PlayStation 3. The Component AV Cable is compatible with most televisions with Component AV input connectors* (Y, CB/PB, CR/PR).

Component AV Cable also features left and right audio plugs for direct connection to an amplifier of hi-fi system. For connecting PlayStation 3 to compatible High Definition televisions, the Component AV Cable is second only to the HDMI Cable.

Compatible with PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 only.
