Find out how cutting-edge technology is set to transform the way you experience PS3 games.
Take the way you play your favourite titles to the next level with the 3D display, now available across Europe and set to revolutionise stereoscopic 3D and multiplayer gaming on PlayStation 3.
Featuring a stunning 24-inch, 1080p High Definition screen, the 3D display is available as part a great value bundle that provides all you need to add a new dimension to the biggest games around.
As well as the 3D display and stand, two pairs of stereoscopic 3D glasses are included, along with an HDMI cable and two award-winning games that will showcase the display's dazzling capabilities – Killzone 3 and Gran Turismo 5.
Two HDMI inputs and one for a component cable mean you can also connect a range of devices, including your PlayStation 2 and PSP.
SimulView, the brand new technology that lets you and a friend simultaneously see individual images on the same screen, is also featured. This means that during multiplayer sessions, the display splits the stereoscopic 3D picture into two separate, 2D images, one for each player to see.
"The 3D display has a big future, thanks to the ability to deliver two different, high quality signals to the same screen," says Simon Benson, senior development manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
"To be able to do all of this, you have to have a stereoscopic 3D image of extremely high quality, and that's where the 3D display really comes into its own. There's no other display we're aware of that could do this. It's unique."
The 3D display is available to buy in stores now. Stay up to date with the latest stereoscopic 3D games coming to PS3 by checking eu.playstation.com and PlayStation.Blog at blog.eu.playstation.com.
