Find out which add-on packs the team behind MotorStorm RC recommend you download from PlayStation Store.
The small-but-mighty world of MotorStorm RC has rapidly expanded since the game launched on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3. Entirely new Festival campaigns, awesome add-on packs and free downloads have all contributed to the game's success, but if you've only just joined the party, how do you know where to start?
The passionate team behind MotorStorm RC, Evolution Studios, share their recommendations and explain how you can get the most out of your time playing the game.
First off, the Pro-Am Expansion pack is a great place to start. It's huge and the skater theme gives the MotorStorm festival a great new vibe. It's a lot of fun to earn the medals – and beat your friends – in the 16 all-new challenges and this pack also features four new tracks to race, four new trophies to earn and eight pro vehicles to add to your collection.

Jamie Brayshaw, community manager, lays down the Pro-Am challenge
"Can you go faster than the guys who made the game? Completing every Pro-Am event in under 12 minutes will earn you the Gold Pro-Am Champion trophy, but that's just the start! My overall time for the Pro-Am Festival is 00:09:56 – more than good enough to earn the Gold trophy and, much more importantly, it puts me top of the leader board here at Evolution Studios."
Kris Pope, lead designer, shares four key tips to drift like a pro
"Let me share the secrets of drifting in MotorStorm RC. The scoring system for drifting has multipliers for speed, angle and duration of your drift. So to get the best scores you need to:
Sarah St Pier, producer, explains how the Pro-Am tracks presented a unique challenge
"The steep sections in each of the skatepark tracks brought an interesting technical problem during development: the in-game racers would all pile up at the bottom and refuse to move up the hills. It was as if these mischievous little cars had become alive and refused to do as they were told and were sulking. Thankfully our expert designers found a way to herd them up and over the ramps, and turn it into one of the most exciting racing tracks in the entire game."
The Carnival Expansion pack is the biggest and most diverse addition to MotorStorm RC. It's a new Festival campaign set in a dynamic theme park, offering six new tracks and 24 new events to master and challenge your friends on. This pack also features four new PlayStation Network trophies to discover and eight carnival vehicles to collect.

Kevin McKenzie, track designer, shares his motives for the waterpark tracks
"Splash Down was made for speed! Every corner has tubing to guide you and keep your speed up, so you can have fun going fast without worrying so much about losing control or flying off the track."
James Tinsdale, QA & design, offers you a unique challenge
"On the Splash Down Tubing hot lap event, try to complete it without using the accelerator after the first 10 seconds. It's tough but it's possible. We lost many good men trying to keep up with me on this!"
There's also a huge range of vehicle add-on packs to download from PlayStation Store and RC model cars to unlock in the game, ranging from the extremely cool to the extremely insane. There's something for everyone – here are some of Evolution Studios' favourites...

Paul Rustchynsky, game director and F1 fan recommends the Wasabi Lightning
"In terms of sheer cool factor, my favourite vehicle has to be the Wasabi Lightning; there is nothing quite like throwing an F1 style RC car around the track at incredibly high speeds!"
Kris Pope, lead designer, is ultra-competitive in his Wasabi Lightning
"The Wasabi Lightning looks cool and it's the Supercars that separate the men from the boys!"
Sarah St Pier, producer, likes the ice cream truck
"I love the Lunar-tec Screamer (the ice cream Racing Truck!). I like to think it's based on the ice cream van that comes to the studio every day, regardless of the weather."
James Tinsdale, QA & design, recommends the free Duckie Supermini
"Duckie is a slow and steady Supermini and there's something beautiful about mastering the tracks in slow motion with it!"
Head to PlayStation Store now to download all of these fantastic add-on packs and leave the competition in the dust in MotorStorm RC on PS3 and PS Vita. And remember, if you download this game to your PS Vita, you can then download it again, for free, to your PS3, and vice versa.
